only reason he doesn't revive his dog is because he thinks the mutt must have had a great life after fry was frozen. credit scene shows the dog morosely sitting in the same spot, day after day, waiting for his master to return; only to die in that same spot wish unfulfilled.

His brother had a great life
His dog waited a decade for him and he never came . Then even he could meet up again he chose not too

one is happy, the other is tragic
