My concern would be for things such as IDEA, which protects some of our most vulnerable student populations.
I don't know how things such as Title I funding would work. It predates the Department of Education (which I believe started under Carter), so presumably it would be overseen by a different department. The impact would primarily be in throwing out all the built up infrastructure in terms of dosh allocation, regulatory, and enforcement duties, which would mean a bureaucratic cluster fuck.
