I get 50-60g of fiber a day.

I consume around 90g of protein on an average day.

I eat mainly complex carbs, though I don't hesitate to indulge here and there.

I have 3 servings of fruit a day, usually.

Usually anywhere from 225-300 per day.

I only feel sluggish if I eat processed foods or a high sodium meal. I can easily down huge amounts of whole grains and legumes without any problems but certain processed breads and pastas will make me feel shitty.

why?
I repeatedly tried low-carb dieting for weight loss and always had moderate results but I would be absolutely miserable without carbs. I would inevitably crack, fall off the diet, and gain all the weight back, then some more. I got really sick in the fall of 2017 and was at a critical juncture where I had to do something about my weight or accept that I'd likely die an early yet slow, agonizing death from obesity related illnesses. I came across the idea while browsing youtube and it seemed so counter-intuitive to everything I thought knew about weight loss but I also realized that a low carb diet was not right for me and was desperate enough to give it a try.

It's worth noting that about half way through my weight loss, I started rigorously counting calories.

I've not noticed any negative effects. I regularly exercise and this past spring, I maintained a bodyweight regimen that added strength and a little bit of mass without any problem. I'm moving more towards running and as I get into more serious outings, I'll be increasing my protein intake. I also had blood work done recently and while it decreased slightly, my total protein was almost the same as before I started this diet.

At least 40g but lately it's gone up to 70 on a few days lately.

I don't eat any animal products and I don't know if it's generally possible but there's no way I'd have been able to make it work while still eating meat and cheese. I rarely eat oil, maybe once or twice a month when I'm trying out junk food vegan products.

Very rarely but I stopped eating at most restaurants about a year before switching to this diet, so it doesn't really have anything to do with that.

I usually opt for fruit but sometimes I'll have some granola or "power balls" made from grains, nuts, and fruit. I go through phases where I'm having air-popped popcorn daily.
