Cousin incest between two consenting adults should be legal. Unless the individuals are double cousins, which is admittedly rare. The odds of defect are comparable to a woman giving births in her late 30's and nobody would ban that.

cousins actually don't have that big a risk of defects unless the cousins themselves have defects already.
2 healthy cousin adults? or 2 adults who don't get pregnant? sure it should only be a problem if 1. too close relation causes pregnancy like siblings or parent and child 2. they have defects and are going to probably pass it to the baby 3. one of the 2 is a minor then do something about it. but if it's 2 healthy adults and they either have no defects and are at least cousins or even more distant, or they don't even get pregnant, then it should be fine making all incest blanketly illegal is what is called a morality law. that's when you make something illegal just cause it's "gross" or "against God". and that is stupid. remember, gay marriage used to be a morality law. ...
