Every dayI just wish that I didn't have to do so much grading. It's so much easier when you can just be like "yep, that's right," give full points for a problem and move along. --- Number of legendary 500 post topics: 33, 500th posts: 28; PiO ATTN: 5 RotM wins 1, LETTEN MY ARROW FLYEN TRUE ... I don't bother grading everything. I just make sure they know what they're doing and grade the more important stuffUnfortunately, I am grading an exam as a Grad Assistant for my professor, so I do not get that opportunity. --- Number of legendary 500 post topics: 33, 500th posts: 28; PiO ATTN: 5 RotM wins 1, LETTEN MY ARROW FLYEN TRUE ... should have volunteered for TAing instead of markingThe classes I am a TA for basically are about grading. Even if I picked a class where I was the instructor, I would still get the privilege of grading. soulunison2 posted... did You use a rubric. There is no rubric for grading, these are individual work-out problems for a 4th-year accounting class. There is a layer of subjectivity to it when partial credit is introduced as I was given no definite rubric for each problem. I am just trying my best to be fair. If there is proof-of-work, then I can use that to assess why a student may have got a problem wrong and if they deserve some credit for that. --- Number of legendary 500 post topics: 33, 500th posts: 28; PiO ATTN: 5 RotM wins 1, LETTEN MY ARROW FLYEN TRUE ... so you build your own rubricI guess I should have specified that yeah, I do have my own standard for grading the problem. I thought the question was more asking if the professor provided a rubric for me to use. Scotty_Rogers posted... Our boy is a teacher. Proud of you manThanks to the both of you! ooooh rightAs I said, this is my own "rubric" for the exam questions that I want to use to be as consistent and fair as possible. These are mathematical, so the answers are more objective rather than subjective-based essay questions. They were not given the questions beforehand, and this is just what I had to devise on my own to be fair with grading. The hard part is since these questions are multi-part questions with answers that build off previous parts, I have to decide how much partial credit to give. Additionally, if they got a part wrong, but due to a silly mistake, it would be silly of me to assume the student had no understanding of the material. --- Number of legendary 500 post topics: 33, 500th posts: 28; PiO ATTN: 5 RotM wins 1, LETTEN MY ARROW FLYEN TRUE ...
