Funny. Persona 4 actually DID inspire me to write what eventually became a series of short stories. I quite liked them, too, which is rare for me and my writing

Think about when you are in the fifth palace.

when you depower the machine arm by raising the speed, it breaks even at the lowest increase. then you get to the boss which is one huge dps check, and if you notice that the speed of the battle is basically how far/fast they were able to push the turn based fluidity mechanics without the game breaking in terms of balance absolutely brilliant

the MGS series, kinda, for me.

not because I necessarily believe that it's well-written, or anything like that, but because the whole codename thing (and what they represent) and how they give those who hold them larger than life statuses.

When Resident Evil 2 and 3 came out I wrote a collection of short fan fiction journal entries.

I never posted them online so they're probably still on an old Macintosh 128k somewhere.

Heh, basically the opposite angle of what my short stories were. I went full in on the shadow-self angle, the manifestation of inner demons, and the effect it would have on the psyche if they were forcibly removed.

Funny thing is 5 would later explore that, to some extent, when it came out a few years later. Though it took a somewhat different interpretation than I did.

Final Fantasy X for some reason has always stuck with me. The characters, themes, etc. I see a piece of it in almost all of my creative works.
