There are a pair of brothers who own a couple dozen shitty tourist shops selling fake cashmere and trinkets like metal rings or tartan scarves. There's barely ever anyone in there, the tourist industry has been down for a while, but they keep buying up more property in some of the most expensive shopfronts in the country. The heroin problems are only going up too. Pretty obviously money laundering for the drug business, but they pay good money to the council sooooo

Moonshining is ongoing in the TN mountains, when you are driving down the highway you always see multiple smoke stacks coming up from the trees from the shiners stills. It's a really big thing here, you can buy a gallon of it for $10 or less. I don't touch the stuff.

well, i've actually seen the area in my city where prostitutes hang out. i was surprised as hell to see them too, because they wore the most cliche outfits ever. then i saw the cops hiding literally around the corner and cant help but think it was some form of sting operation.
