She has a neurological condition and a heart condition, but mentioned that she wouldnt mind trying weed for medicinal purposes and maybe we should give it a go when we meet up next time. I havent smoked it in 5 years so wouldnt mind but just seems like a bad idea.

No doctor here is going to prescribe her weed to treat her conditions so itd just be me getting some weed from a friend and smoking it with her. Idk though, seems a bit risky considering her drs havent even pinpointed what is wrong with her heart or brain yet so I feel like maybe to just say nooo...

Have you talked to her about it, with those specific worries? There's a chance she's thought about it, and she wasn't just casually bringing it up

Nah we didnt talk about it in depth, I didnt raise my concerns, only she did in passing.

When she mentioned trying it, she also added ...although it might not be a good idea with everything going on. So idk how much shes though about it but she seems in two minds about it herself.

I'm one of those ignorant people that abide by the belief that marijuana is a positive solution for any and all ailments, because um... it's the most logical ignorance

Except, like.... sobriety

It's terrible for sobriety

Unless its prescribed by her dr I'd say its best not to smoke with her.

Try to contact a university or scientist of sorts so they could document and record what smoking marijuana does to her while she suffers from her condition.

is she prone to schizophrenic outbursts or panic disorders?

if not, just stand back and let her do her thing.

Can she search more for a doctor she could discuss her health issues with?

If she really wants to try, I'd recommend a low dose of high cbd:low thc blend instead of smoking a joint of high potency flower.

Is she prone to panic attacks? If not then blaze it up. If so then blaze for days.

Worth bringing up with her docs I guess. But likely they'll just tell her it's illegal so no.

Low thc high cbd sounds less risky - but still risky. She doesn't have schizophrenia or panic attacks lol but then again who knows what this could trigger.

I'm leaning towards saying no..

Worthless anecdote: my uncle had to quit drinking because he had several heart attacks and now he has a pacemaker. He's been smoking weed ever since and there's no indication that it's fucking with his heart. So personally I would worry more about your friend's neurological condition. If you smoke then the effect is pretty much instantaneous, so you could always start slow.

100%. Weed could absolutely help her, not hurt her, but know what you're giving her. Cbd will actually prevent you from getting too high so a 1:1 is ideal for newbies

as long as she isnt doing it all day/every day and isnt prone to psychotic breakdowns or schizophrenia, id say its fine.
