Chuck says he is a god because whatever he writes becomes real. He apologizes for putting Sam and Dean through terrible ordeals.

Kinda funny in retrospect with how he acting in season 15.

Everything Lucifer said about God was true.

Actually not so sure.

I rewatched episode where he wanted an apology and Chuck refused and then sorta gave one so they could fight Amara.

But then you realize next season there is multiple of the same universe meaning more micheals and more of him too so the apology was totally hollow and it makes sense why Chuck refuses to apologize.
He not really his son. He just one of many products of the writing. The real meat is the other characters. It is like the difference between npcs and playable customizable characters.

Tbh, Castiel is the closest thing to a real son to Chuck since he constantly kept bringing him back and stuff.
