Lysandear 09/29/20 9:34:42 PM #1:	i remember during release times everyone was all, oh the english dub is actually really good! i prefer it to the japanse by a lot! are you fuckin high? how? i am a notorious anti-weeb. hate weeb shit. hate it. but the sekiro dub sounds like 2014 anime dub on a bad day. it doesnt even sound like actors. sounds like college kids fuckin around. cant take it seriously at all meanwhile you got the chad Japanese dub. it's all somber and shit. Sekiro sounds like a badass. Isshin sounds like a thundercock. The moments of levity do well to alleviate the gloom and doom the game otherwise spends its time building up. Even eavesdropping the guards makes all of them sound like goons, instead of just the ones who are supposed to. The sculptor feels like a totally different character tonally. I assume the actor was going for apathy, but he just comes off as...I guess boring? Stoic? I don't feel like he's building to a dramatic conclusion like I did in my first playthough. Emma sounds old and husky. Isshin is this weird old florida bayou grandpa missing half his teeth.
