And I mean every word of it.

It's very clearly an homage to Twin Peaks, in all the ways that matter. And I adore the main character's utter amazement at the completely mundane, in the same way Dale Cooper did.

One of the most interesting things about it is that it has a certain juvenile quality that is simultaneously impossible to fake but also unlikely to be not deliberate. It's actually an amazing accomplishment.

I haven't played the switch game, but to me the most fascinating thing about this game is that it's clearly not like The Room, in which it's just a singularly bad film from a bad director. There is a clear deliberate nature to the madness of this game, almost like it's in on the joke but not quite.

Awesome game that was ruined with game-halting glitches. I didn't get to experience most of it because the game would just constantly freeze up on me at a certain point.

I loved it and hated it. I would always try to end a session immediately after one of the ridiculous gun play maze parts. If they were cut entirely, I would have finished it. Im bummed out about it.

The director of Link's Awakening stated that Twin Peaks was at least as popular in Japan as it was in America, if not more so, and inspired a mini-renaissance in storytelling there.
