My dad has a Ring doorbell. It does work, but I feel like you get the most use out of them if you have a bigger house/apartment, as you can be far from your front door and see who it is.
When I lived with them, the doorbell also caught the FedEx guy throwing the laptop I ordered over the fence without knocking or even ringing the doorbell, which I wasn't too happy about. --- Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight? ... Copied to Clipboard!

FedEx is awful. My local driver was telling me if he's done with his deliveries for the day and finds that he missed a box on the other side of town, he will scan it out as delivered anyway and just drop it off the next day. So he is perfectly okay with someone who might be expecting something and tracking it, and thinking it got stolen or delivered to the wrong house when it says "delivered" and put them through contacting customer service just so he doesn't have to drive 20 more minutes that day.
