But if you do try, you're almost certainly going to fail anyway, and end up worse off than if you hadn't tried.

Both of your "life lessons" are wrong. You're like the anti-Socrates.

If you can persevere through failure and keep at it you will almost certainly succeed at some point.

But continued attempts after failure(most likely several times) is probably the hardest thing you can possibly do. Most people aren't cut out for it, and there's nothing wrong with playing it safe tbh

That's easy for a successful person to say

In a career line of work, in the first couple of years, youre going to deal with a ton of small scale failures. The point is that you regroup yourself quickly and push on despite of the (basically expected) initial shortcomings. And that you quickly retain useful information, which you put to use immediately. This is almost going to be a given if youre in a career path with a high ceiling for progress/income.

@RedWhiteBlue Cause of the Kongiversary sale and the fact that I still need one I spent 40K gems that I've been saving for the past lord knows how fucking long on defense accessory boxes and finally got a legendary, but it's like the worst legendary defense accessory in the game. Meanwhile my damn guild leader buys one of the cheap boxes and gets a fucking Power Core. I know it's a pathetic reason to be miserable but let's just say it's one more hard kick in the nuts when I've already had like a hundred of them lately.

Out of all the things I could hear in BH that hurt to read, it was when a player spends hard earned gems and gets dogshit. Sorry bro.

I also quit that shitfest months ago. Crappy sales, premium shop expensive as hell, dry content, awful drop rates, just frustrating all around.
Thanks.

I really need to find something better to do, I agree the game's gone to shit since Kong took over and I frequently question why I'm still bothering with it. I suspect the answer is because I'm mentally ill or something to that effect.

Just because you didn't succeed doesn't mean you "failed".

If you haven't tried, you have neither failed nor succeeded. You can even get lucky and get a win with no effort.

But if you do try, you're almost certainly going to fail anyway, and end up worse off than if you hadn't tried.

If you try, and fail, this can be devastating. Even deadly to you.

You need wisdom.

And then you can learn from failures, and get successes.

You do not need to take every shot. Sometimes saving a shot for later is best. How to know the difference? Wisdom.

If your goal is to fail then you succeeded which means you a failure at achieving your original goal which was what you wanted so you were successful which means you failed.

Better to not try at all.
