One of the best endings to a movie ever. Every Godfather movie has a great ending.

1 - Kay realizes what Michael has become.
2 - The flashback with his family and Michael sitting alone because he became such a cold, ruthless monster.
3 - Michael dying old and alone in an unceremonious fashion at his villa in Sicily.

I like how they didn't show marlon brando don corleone in part 2, just talked about him and you felt he was right outside the house about to go in. Only later found out that they couldn't actually get the actor back so they made it work really well in the scene, it actually works better without him

I hate the third film but goddamn if that ending wasn't perfect.

I saw that movie for the first time just a few years ago and was really blown away. It absolutely lives up to the hype.

Yeah it does work better. Even though we never see him, his presence still looms over the scene.

I think it has some good parts and some interesting ideas, but overall it just can't compare to the previous two and it's especially hard since 1 and 2 are like masterpieces of film. The silent scream part is still one of the best scenes in the trilogy. I also liked how Connie became this black widow like gangster like her father and brothers which is sort of alluded to by Carlo in the first one when he calls her and her family a bunch of killers.
