Trump says he will announce is non-surprising pick, Amy Coney Barrett as the next Supreme Court Justice nominee but Mitch McConnell WON'T promise him that they will vote BEFORE election day for fear of his colleagues LOSING their seat if they voted YES!!

Trump told reporters that at 5pm Saturday will be the big moment when he introduces his Supreme Court Nominee to replace Ginsburg, a feminist icon and hero to Liberals...and with a christian icon and hero to evangelicals instead

The Supreme Court pick will become a political hot bed in the election race as now McConnell is not promising a vote before the election and said he will wait for the person to come out of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings and then set a date

Trump wants a rushed vote so that his nominee gets in before November 3rd but McConnell is worried that his senators in tight re-election contests will pay the price if they rush someone in before polls close

Timing is also tough as there's less than 40 days before the election when most nominations take at least 70 as traditionally a nominee holds meetings with senators and has a confirmation hearing that takes 2-3 days

Most Republican Senators say they back a hearing as Mitt Romney said he will follow the constitution to nominate as Trump said in a rare praise for Romney and said "He was very good today, i have to tell you. Now i'm happy"

Corey Gardener of Colorado, Susan Collins of Maine, Thomas Tillis of North Carolina, Martha McSally of Arizona, Joni Ernst of Iowa, Steve Daines of Montana are most in danger of losing their seats as well as Democrat Doug Jones in Alabama..

If all of these senators go down, it will be a net possible gain of 5 Democrats with a 55-45 majority making it a huge reversal for the current Senate but Democrats only need to win 4 of them for a slim majority.

Well, Republicans are evil but they're certainly not stupid.
I fucking called it. They have no reason to piss off people before the election, when they can ignore the will of the people and sneak it in afterwards anyway:

Honestly, the GOP would be wise to just wait till after the election.
Even if they lose bigly, they have no shame and if they appointed a new justice in spite of the will of the people, nothing could stop them. While as doing it right away will enrage the hell out of people for ultimately the same result as the former.
The only reason to do it right away is sheer hubris, thinking they can literally get away with anything. Which...they basically can, but you'd think they wouldn't want to let the country see that right before the election...

Even if they sneak it in after election they just justify a democratic senate resorting to packing the court.

Yeah, but I'd rather it not come to that b/c then a future Republican Congress and president would add even more people to the court.
Ideally, this bs just gets blocked by some people in the Republican party growing a conscience and doing the right thing, refusing to hold a vote after voters put Dems in majority control for the upcoming year.

...Fuck, that's never happening. Unless the Barr impeachment scheme works, I guess the Supreme Court is just gonna grow and grow....

Where are you seeing that she's his pick? Because I can't find an official announcement or even a tweet.

Otherwise this is what, pick the nominee now but withhold the vote until after the vote so, even if they do lose, they can lame duck vote in their choice? Because while I guess it's a smart ploy, it's a pretty fucking low move.
