The rate of infection is increasing quite rapidly, although it's not entirely clear why, so there might be another lockdown. This will probably mean shops, cafes, supermarkets, offices and such closing down, people being mostly stuck in their houses, school and other educational buildings closing, and so on. The economy will take another massive hit, after it's been recovering.

This is bullshit. We shouldn't have another lockdown. I know there is probably going to be a second spike without a lockdown, but I can't imagine it will be nearly as bad as before. I mean, we now have masks, social distancing, better general awareness, and such.

There's going to be a televised conference at 9pm today (GMT). I guess we'll know after 9pm.

i'd find that slightly more believable if you weren't doing a great impression of a trump voter right now. you say you know there'll probably be a second spike. if you can move in a way that prevents the loss of life, don't you think you do it? not to mention that death isn't the only outcome to consider. lungs are delicate.
