I think it looks good so far and it doesn't seem like they're trying to use their proprietary engine this time. I'm not jumping on a pre-order, but I feel like this game will at least feel finished.

That's what I was thinking. They look pretty similar, aside from the first guy looking older. Could just have a timeskip early on.

Pretty sure 10 is the second favorite after 7.

But really, FF was never good. You're all recognizing problems the franchise always had but your nostalgia blinds you to them in 7 which was the worst offender of most of the complaints.

cos it was the 90s and the graphic capabilities and art style suited it cos it always looked goofy and cartoony. noctis hair would be more fitting if graphics are like this



Its 2020 now bruh and because they are going for a more realism sort of art style they gotta tone down the anime/emo hair. considering he seems to be the only one with it.

btw clouds hair is just as stupid in FF7R but at least it was toned down and the chunky spikes definitely wouldnt have worked with the more realistic art style. He definitely doesnt look as badass as in the OG and just looks as much cringe as Noctis does. Considering the art/graphic style, they should have toned it down even further and had it more normal looking similar to young cloud. but even less spikier on top, shorter side burns. But its Cloud, an already established character, so he just had to have some excess spikes for fan service

Personally I get some Ivalice/Tactics vibes from the story elements, with summons being super important like in 14.

i just find it odd that there are people who are still getting this hyped over an FF game that they are still willing to not only preorder, but to pay full price which has increased to $70 despite FF games having a bad track record for their mainline FF games since ff10 for the past near 20 years

But FFXI is good, and feels more like a traditional FF game than ever with its trusts system

Imagine pre-ordering Versus 13 after its first trailer, and then 10 years later getting a game with a different name that has like literally not one thing from any trailer that Square ever released.

- Made by Yoshi-p and the team behind 14. They hit it out of the park with their stories and writing.

- Game goes back to pure medieval fantasy.

- Eikons and designs look fantastic.

- Dmc5 combat director is working on the gameplay which is looking pretty freaking sweet.

- Also heard people from Dragons Dogma are involved.
