Didn't wanna make 2 different topics.
I got all new brakes & rotors put in my car at the end of May last year. Haven't got them cleaned since putting them in. Last week when I drive a few times near the driver side I hear a squeak noise, but not when I apply the brakes. The mechanic retorqued my wheel and said he didn't notice anything wrong with my brakes. Typically a cleaning should be done once every 2 years so it hasn't been 2 years yet, but the squeak isn't loud but does happen when at times quite a bit now I've noticed. Also my hot water tank is about 15 years old which I'm renting. The buyout is $200 so I don't have to pay over $400 each year for it to rent it. So far I've paid well over $2K being in the house for 5 years. I'm leaning towards buying it out at $200 and since it's still working great no point in replacing it. Typically to buy a new hot water tank & get it installed is about under $2K. Thoughts? --- "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. - Sun Tzu ... no idea about the car. The hot water tank just makes sense tbh. I don't think you will get their support anymore, but if it breaks you can just rent another one.

Yeah I'm gonna cancel it. I pay quarterly and already forked over $2K in 5 years. And in those 5 years I only had to get a tech to come in once for a minor issue which he easily fixed by cleaning the filter thing below that starts the flame or something cause the I wasn't getting hot water. That alone without the rental price would have cost me probably under $300.
I already pay $20 a month for a service regarding my furnace & central air which isn't a lot and so far haven't had anyone come in for any service or had issues with those units. --- "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. - Sun Tzu ...
