Yes, I'm aware that RA1 was implied to be a prequel to TD, but by RA2/TS they've pretty clearly diverged into separate timelines. Because time travel, probably.

(PS- C&C Remastered Collection is fricking awesome, and currently reduced on Steam for (AFAIK) the first time. The new E.V.A setup sequence is practically worth the price all by itself if you're at all nostalgic for the originals.)

I played Rd Alert before the original C&C and always preferred the Red Alert universe to the Tiberium one. I think the fact that the ore trucks didn't take so long and would just dump their loads and move on which made Red Alert so much more playable to me, even if the original is arguably better balanced.
