I want to know how to write 'extra spicy' on my online chinese orders so they are more likely to take it seriously

the hard part honestly is conveying to the waiter that you actually want what you are asking for. no matter what language you request it in, they're always going to have a tendency to think 'this guy doesn't really know what he wants.'

honestly I think being more emphatic in english would probably give you better results than writing your order in chinese.

you also might be interested in trying which is pronounced as te (more like 'tuh' if I had to write it out in english)

this can be combined with la () to give:

te is kind of weird because the main definition is 'bull,' but it can also be used to mean like something exceptional or extraordinary. I sort of interpret it as having a similar meaning to the word 'alpha' so you'd be asking for something like 'alpha spicy' or like the most alpha/bull-like.

honestly while I have seen used (by native speakers, even)... I can't vouch for the fact that someone might understand what you mean when you write it down, void of any other context. they might just think you wrote 'bull spicy' and not understand what you mean.

Also make sure you're actually eating at an authentic Chinese place, otherwise all they're going to do is dump crushed red pepper and/or cayenne in it.

maybe?

Literally means 'more spicy'
If the order is already spicy, they would know you want something spicier than normal
