Panic attacks only last 15 minutes at most. At that point your brain starts kicking in the "calm down" drugs.

If you're withdrawing from something that's inhibiting your calm down drugs (like alcohol) it will last as long as it wants. Best to just accept it at that point.

Generally true unless there's some other factor.

This is something you should probably discuss with a professional

Probably not in the moment. However panic attacks do pass. I'm thankfully I've only ever had three in the space of around 4 years of having anxiety issues but I can still get quick bursts of panic now and then. I'm not on any medication but have learned to deal with these things a lot more.

Basically what I mean is in the moment. You shouldn't wait 15 minutes during a heart attack.

Chances are if it's a heart problem it'll be worse than heart palpations before that time sure. First and even second time I had a panic attack my brain was telling me it's a heart attack so I went to A&E in a ambulance. No shock to anyone my heart is fine.

That's a totally different thing with different symptoms to look out for

But if you're delirious in the middle of a panic attack it might be hard to tell the difference no matter what.
