Dude's hilarious. His shows are kinda cringy, but in a good way. He's goofy but that's not the main part of his performance, the lyrics are.

I remember seeing other comedic songwriters like Virulo (Cuba) or Zambayonny (Argentina) but never saw an english performer, at least in that format.

Any others like him?

Flight of the Conchords are the best comedic musicians. Well, not including Weird Al. So I guess best standup comedian musicians or whatever.

Demetri Martin and Flight of the Concords was doing that type of stand up before Bo hit the scene and their influences on him are pretty apparent. In a good way, it's not like he was jacking their style or he's not as good as them.

Zach Galifianakis used to do piano in his stand up work. Sarah Silverman and Adam Sandler for guitar.

Garfunkel and Oates are fantastic so check them at asap.

Hes good, unfortunately I knew a guy who knew him from childhood and all he would ever talk about was Bo. All the damn time. Tbf the guy I knew did talk about Bo before he made it but it was so sad and annoying that I just cant even get into his comedy by association lol

English is not my first tongue, and I wasn't really big on stand up comedy until a few years ago when I started watching really old stuff from Carlin, Pryor and some newer like Chapelle and Burr, and this Bo dude hit me like a breath of fresh air, it was very different and I immediately remembered Virulo, I went to see him in Caracas back in 2007, easily one of the best comedy shows I've ever attended.

Also Stephen Lynch and Nick Thune played music and told jokes but they were around when I was really into stand up comedy when I was younger. Don't know if they're still around but I'm sure their older stuff is still available somehow.
