Margin stocks such as through Questrade? Or do you only pay taxes on capital gains if you pull the money out and put it back into your bank account?

There needs to be a realization event to trigger tax liability. If you sell stock at a profit, that creates tax liability.

I'm asking cause I'm researching before I get into stock investing...how does capital gain taxes work for margins? Compared to like TFSA?
