So, I'm able to catch familiars now. And I know you can have three for each party member and three in reserve. My question is is you have three in reserve, can you still catch more like pokemon where it sends them directly to your box? Or do you have to have room for them?

If you finish the trials at the temple of trials you unlock a place that will store familiars for you. Can't remember how many exactly but it's in the hundreds. Pretty sure you can send familiars there from the world map and stuff but I'd have to check
