If the media left him alone like they did Biden. He probably would of been better competition. Also he needed the Trump attack energy of 2016. Not the bs Trump said but actually going after people running against him. No one wants a revolution from a guy more worried about if Biden going to invite him over for brunch on sundays.

People are so brainwashed to rail against their own interests that he didn't get enough votes. Literally poverty cases that will be utterly destroyed financially by an unexpected injury fighting against universal healthcare because MURICA and socialism is bad or whatever.

Also, the Democratic party establishment forced everyone else to drop out and endorse Biden, even though he was in like 4th place at that point and on a pretty big losing streak, which really took the momentum away from Bernie.

I think he could have won still if all the other candidates hadn't all dropped out in the same week and all endorsed Biden. if some of them had endorsed Bernie, I think he could have taken the nomination. he got ganged up on.

shit candidate
not good at debating
spent all his supporters donations on hiring twitter trolls to run his campaign
fell for the internet meme, thought upvotes and likes would turn into votes
thought he could tell 70% of the party to go fuck themselves for months and get handed the nomination at a brokered convention

Don't know why, but this is what Joe Biden says about old age Social Security funding.

"While Trump has pledged not to harm the popular program, his Democratic opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden, plans to expose incomes above $400,000 to the 12.4% Social Security tax split evenly between employees and employers. Currently, there is a wage cap of $137,700."

If Bernie won there would more than likely been some kind of class warfare. Bernies rhetoric would've caused massive social unrest all over the country. He would've pointed out blatant failures in the capitalist system and said a lot of truth, you can see he sparked a movement already with AOC taking the mantle, she's going to be a problem for this country. When someone says stuff like "orthodontics is medicine and everyone should have vision and dental care" they're dangerously close to exposing critical flaws in our way of life.

I think his positions are largely irrelevant and it mainly comes down to being bad at politics. It goes without saying he didn't try to court the power players in the Democratic Party, but he also positioned himself as explicitly running against them. Additionally despite knowing his biggest weakness from last time around (primarily supported by young people and very bad levels of support with the most important demographic in the Democratic primary, black voters) he did little to try to correct it. Like if you were just picking support groups to try to win an election young people would be basically the last one to pick.

Politics will always come down to you having to stop caring about policies and how you want to run your campaign and instead playing to win. Because if you don't play to win, the other guy will. And the guy who wins is the one who gets to implement their policies.

But if every other first world country, including nearby neighbor Canada, already has those things without having abandoned capitalism or suffered class warfare, would that really be something you expect to happen in the US?

Biden isn't promising much of anything and you have far more violence in the US then you ever see in any other first world country. If class warfare breaks out it certainly isn't going to be because someone actually tried to make things better. Things would need to keep getting worse.

I don't think you realize how big of scumbags/trash the folks who own this country are. You think these guys don't know that people are living out in the freezing cold injecting themselves with heroin? They pay doctors, licensed physicians, to inject them with heroid and then eat a $1000 steak that was flown in from another country. Hysterectomies are being reported from immigration detention centers, just imagine what else is going on in there? It's basically a season of American horror story.

Good, because the rich certainly haven't been afraid of going to war with the rest of us. They take every opportunity they can to reduce their taxes, and make sure the common person gets screwed over by medical emergencies instead of having a functional healthcare system that won't destroy lives.

The media and the DNC were against him because at the end of they day, they serve the same corporate overlords the Republicans do.

Making sure their rich donors don't pay what they owe is more important than stopping Trump. Even though Trump has gotten as far as sterilizing prisoners. Who do they think is going to be the first to go once Trump has the power to openly kill dissenters? Oh? It can't happen? Yeah, we thought our checks and balances were stronger than they really were back when he first won too.)

Voters didn't want what Bernie was offering.

Yes, they do. When polled on individual policies, people want what Bernie is offering.

It came down to the idiotic belief that Bernie "probably can't win", so let's nominate the drooling moron who DEFINITELY can't win instead! Yay!
