Since Xena is a Hercules spinoff, and I haven't watched through Herc in a billion years, I wasn't sure if it was a "Xena knows Joxer" episode or a true debut. Gabrielle beat the crap out of him over and over, though, so it was pretty enjoyable. He's no Salmoneus, though. Speaking of the second season, apparently Xena ~~has a son she abandoned~~ somehow and never mentioned it. I was little leery of introducing that out of nowhere, but after seeing the ep, it wasn't so bad. This season has been a bit up and down so far, and we've already done Christmas carols, an Indiana Jones parody, and now this. Comedy episodes are supposed to be a fun change of pace, not the new normal. At least Salmoneus is here to make everything better.
