The obviously fucking British guy on the Ark radio who talked to the Colonel in the "spring" train ride before the Caspian is really putting the brakes on my suspension of disbelief for this story. For someone who might as well have thought the birds were occupational forces, "Chip Cheerio, simply Capital!" guy on the radio sure didn't tip off any of Miller's flags?

This game is losing me fast. The characters are all so brain dead lol.

I like Anna, Krest, and Duke. I've stopped and listened to all the dialog for all the others so far and they just seem so 2D. Maybe it's the english VA I'm using.

the characters were all forgettable or walking cliches with about as much depth as a puddle.

I think I desynced my entire game.

I went right instead of left on Caspian because I wanted to explore before I got to the main quest. I found this dude who said he was the Baron by the shore, addressing people who didn't come with me, and plot points I had no idea what he was talking about, then I got a call from Anna for her to be in sniping position up north and the game auto-skipped my main quest from the first one to the last one in the Caspian.

Well, shit. Looking it up it's a common bug. Wonderful.

At this point I might as well wait til I get my hands on a 3080 so I can experience it with raytracing though

I'm about 12 hours in. It's a 6/10 for atmosphere, visuals, and sound design. But the story, characters, gunplay and even just little things like movement/how little weight you have with the geometry of the game makes it feel very wonky at times. The AI is also beyond braindead.
