Combat is fine, every ARPG is boring and repetitive and no final fantasy has ever been difficult. They've patched in some gaps of the story, but they still failed to make you have any compelling reason to care about Luna which keeps it at good not great. It'll be interesting how they do Wutai since it got a bigger focus in Part 1. Same goes for the larger towns such as Gold Saucer and Junon. As for XVI, I wouldn't mind a return to high fantasy. We already have the VIIR games so let's have something with a different atmosphere. Personally, I wouldn't want something similar to VIIR's combat.
