Marylin Huston, Cheshire County GOP chair, congratulated her on her victory. Huston consistently referred to DiMezzo as he during the interview, despite the candidate identifying as female.

He did very well with the primary and that was wonderful, Huston said.

Huston said DiMezzo only ran as a Republican because of problems getting Libertarian candidates on the ballot. Huston said DiMezzo never showed up to the GOP meetings and candidate events, even though she was invited.

Aria really came into the Republican party because he was unable to get onto a Libertarian ballot, Huston said.

Got 3% when running as a Libertarian according to that so I don't blame her. A lot of libertarian candidates in New Hampshire use the GOP or Democratic party to get elected.

It's so weird to me that a sheriff has to declare political affiliation to run for office. Their job is to enforce the law, whether they're democrat or republican shouldn't matter because everyone in their position should do the job exactly the same.
