It's a 3D concert probably with singing and dancing. God, we've been waiting for this shit for months. I think everybody thought that 500k was way too lofty of a goal since her first celebration was for like 200k, and people expected her to go in increments of 100ks, but she reached 500k a lot faster than expected.

She hasn't been doing intensive streaming or other idol stuff recently, all to prepare for this show. This is either gonna change my life or I won't be able to wake up to watch it. Either way, I'm watching this whole thing

The big hint is that it's actually not the global fanbase that made this a major issue. It's actually Cover themselves.

They messed up by making that China statement, which was gonna make it to global audience one way or another. Then they publicly admitted that it was their wrong doing when it was the Chinese audience that made it political in the first place. Finally, they really messed up by making the punishment 3 weeks, which is the largest punishment they've doled out onto their talents. The Aloe situation was a tragedy, but the punishment of 2 weeks at the very least could be construed as fair, since it was her mistake that she didn't delete her test streams. All the other nonsense outrage from idol otaku gachis aside, she did make a mistake that could be a breach on her contract. But Coco and Haachama... objectively didn't really do anything wrong. They showed a data that Youtube displays, which has never been an issue in the past. This made it seem like Cover personally believed that Coco and Haachama did something wrong.

Bilibili and China as a whole is honestly not a major piece of the pie, just a piece that Cover clearly didn't want to lose for something like this. The minor nuances of their dealing with the situation probably spoke much louder than anything else. Global fans had every reason to be mad

Suisei has honestly passed even Sora or Azki in terms of the level of idol representation in Hololive, sad to say considering both Sora and Azki have been almost entirely focused on idol activities. Her 2nd single is representative of this, because she actually produced and pushed it independently because her previous association Inonaka, a subsidiary of Cover, wouldn't do anything with her for some reason.

After she got absorbed into Hololive as what it'll later be known as the 0th gen consisting of independent Holo streamers, she just kept upping the bar for herself. Pushed Hololive to help her get these composers she liked to produce her 3rd single, and do a 3D concert that put her on the map. The last 3-4 months, she's done a ton of music radio shows and various live concerts in Bilibili or other Youtube channels that people are probably not even aware of because they're not all uploaded to her channel. You'd have to be her fan to really seek these out, but for a month, she was basically doing a massive show like once per week, at one point even twice in a week.

This is also all the while she was pumping out covers with Sora or Kanata or the 3rd gens or the ALICE group they did one time. All of these were extremely well produced and interesting. As a big fan, I'm gonna be biased and say that she probably deserves way more subs, but so does Sora lul. Being an idol centric streamer just means you actually don't get as much recognition as a streamer because of the time and effort it takes to do each big streams like this, and a lot of their efforts happen in money-gated streams or on other channels that don't have much ways to connect to your own channel, which is more or less a commentary against youtube's format I suppose.

But yeah, I've been waiting for this concert for so long cuz I've seen her journey firsthand. Really happy that it ended up being this good, though I wonder what her next benchmark is gonna be

She just had a moment in her stream right now where she was talking about how the last month hasn't felt real to her. She remembered playing Muse Dash a while ago and when Fubuki's song came up, she never thought she'd have the opportunity to work with her.

She changed topics right before going into something from her childhood, probably because it was getting too heavy. I wish people didn't put so much stock into sub counts, since it seems to be getting to her. Definitely quite a few people in the chat that are being antagonistic about it too.

There's no stopping her growth, and Fubuki and Korone didn't have enough daily growth rate to reach 1 mil first to begin with.

I think it's natural though. The Japanese ceiling for subs is just much lower than a US ceiling for subs, and not everybody's willing to reach out to channels and sub to people they can't understand.

1 mil is usually just the first step towards a channel that you can truly call successful nowadays anyways, just that these girls get superchat rained on them every few streams

So this might end up being a bunch of baseless or exaggerated rumors, but the situation has already extended so far that the vtuber in question hasn't streamed in a week.

A vtuber named Meiro from Nijisanji has very recently been announced to retire out of a breach of contract, no specification as to what exactly was the violation. It's speculated that it was due to her talking about the cause of her recent mental distress, which had to do with what was happening behind the scene in Nijisanji, and that's the extent of the info we actually hear from her I believe.

But a gossip vtuber channel Narukami has released a video based on a supposed source telling him that the real cause of the departure was due to a bullying campaign of sorts by another Nijisanji vtuber named Roa, a pretty popular member of the group. She had supposedly made a request to Meiro to change her accent, as Roa had the same accent but went with a storyline of how it's a devil's dialect of sorts. Out of a conflict of character and her being popular, it meant Meiro was forced to speak in a regular Tokyo dialect that she simply wasn't used to. Every time she slipped up, supposedly there was some harassment bh the scenes and a threat from Roa to quit if this doesn't get cleanly rectified.

The only other evidence right now is that Roa has followed nearly every Nijisanji twitter account but mysteriously is not following Meiro. Otherwise the only other thing is her silence on the matter and an unannounced week long hiatus where the comment section for her latest video is essentially a trainwreck.

Of course the following could also be true, that the source is exaggerating a story out of disgruntlement, and maybe the request to change her dialect did happen but it wasn't as wild of a bullying as it was stated. Either way, she and the management are in hot water from the viewers, and the next video from her will have to be an explanation of what happened.
