New logitech mouse/keyboard and new PC. Logitech has never let me down before, while this PC was built by someone else and I have no idea how good they are.

It works, it all works, it's just that...

There are times where I'm literally typing and nothing appears on the screen. Then like 5 seconds later all of a sudden the letters pop up and I'm like "wtf, I've never heard of lag on a computer when someone is just typing"

and now, now when I scroll with the scroll wheel, it's like every other scroll doesn't register. Honestly don't know what to wtf at.

You could be getting interference from anything nearby

Even a Switch

its unlikely that both your mouse and keyboard will break at the same time. what you're describing sounds like system lag.

Wireless combo, the little receiver thing is placed on a USB slot at the top of the desktop, so it's like mere inches away from the keyboard and mouse. I can't think of what could cause interference. I have a logitech sound system hooked up, and a wireless router. That's all.

What could cause system lag?

Especially on a new pc. Specs I think are:

intel core i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz

Is that good or bad?

RAM is 16 GB

For what it's worth device manager says all devices are working properly, I don't think that feature has ever said otherwise even if they weren't.

Maybe it's the port? Have you tried plugging in the m/kb somewhere else?

Definitely. I plugged it into as many ports as possible and as close as possible to no avail.

Does it matter if the USB slot is the USB 3.0 model or the older one?

when you start to notice these issues, have you looked at the task manager to see what your PC is doing? i've seen computers hang like that because of viruses or bad browser extensions eating up processor power.

its also possible you've got bad drivers. try updating your mouse and keyboard drivers.

might even be interference from your router, since your devices are wireless yes? its unlikely, since routers and blutooth devices work to avoid crossing signals, but who knows. try cutting off your router for a bit and see what happens.

Is there a program that manages the logitech stuff? If so, try disabling that and seeing if it acts up without it and then maybe re-installing it
