Not guaranteed. The AI would resume your consciousness, but unsure if just a copy since your original body died. The genetic clone is exactly you except with any flaws/defects removed PLUS health improvements, but won't have the same experiences as you. Unsure if genetic cloning can carry over memories somehow.

Digital sounds like it would last longer, and it would be a new experience.

I always see online people saying we will one day be able to just upload our consciousness. That sounds like bullshit. Our conscious experience is the aggregation of our physical matter reacting to information it interacts with from outside and within itself. There's nothing to upload, and making an exact copy would mean jack shit to the original version.

How I think we can extend our conscious experience is through a process of slowly incorporating digital functions into our living self bit by bit. I can't imagine replacing a just a tiny bit of our neural functions would cause loss of one's conscious experience. So just wait for each tiny bit to become part of our being, before doing the next tiny bit, until we've become fully digitized.
