Do you call them Black now, or just black?

According to the New York Times, Huff Post and other center-left outlets, were supposed to say Black now. Do you agree with this sudden and radical change in our language?

Virtually all peoples are listed, as a group, after their country or continent of origin. That is inherently capitalized. Black and white are the only exceptions. In capitalizing Black, you leave white people as the only ethnic group who aren't capitalized. That is not an oversight.

Racism has always been about controlling the public by setting individual peoples against one another. Since society no longer tolerates the dominance of one group by another, the powers that be must turn to a new form of population control: distrust.

You send one dog whistle message attempting to convince white people that they're being unfairly disrespected for their ancestry or for events of the past which they personally have no control over. You send another to everyone else saying that white people are a socially advantaged and collectively bigoted group ruthlessly holding onto ill-gained power at the expense of others. The intent is not respect or disrespect for any one party in particular, but rather it is an attempt to set people against one another.

For the record, I capitalize Black and White equally. It's not my intent to pull an "all lives matter" when it comes to capitalization. Rather, it's there to be consistent and because the intent of unequal capitalization is not respect for the oppressed or maligned. It's simply another trick to create division and control the populace.

Makes sense in context - white people can usually trace their ancestry to a specific, capitalized country, while Black people often do not. They've had knowledge of their heritage denied them, so Black is all they have.
