The new bathroom sink faucet and drains I had installed by the plumber had to be adjusted. He said all he could make work is a drain that you have to push down on like a button to open and close. I had no idea something like this existed. The thought to me is really disgusting.

I dunno, you have to physically push the drain itself to open and close it. It sounds gross.

Yes. They're not all that uncommon, though I see that kind of drain more often in a tub.

Seen them for tubs never a sink. Meh...I don't use that feature for sinks though.
