If 2 guys get into a fisticuffs but one takes out a gun and kills the other, is this self defense?

So if 2 guys get into a fist fight over an argument or drunken argument but suddenly one of the guys feels "threatened" by the other and thinks he's gonna lose then takes out a gun and kills that other guy, would this be considered self defense and stand your ground too? https://i.imgur.com/vLUYUr9.jpg --- The Users have Spoken. I feel like, it depends on a number of stuff, but most people aren't going to continue attacking you while you have a gun pointed at them

I feel like if you're genuinely being beaten to death you probably aren't able to pull a gun, by virtue of being blugeoned

I've thought about this, but not with guns. At work I have a box cutter. If a customer for some reason decided to go ham on my ass, would I be within my rights to whip my blade out and cut a bitch?

The way I see it, if you pull a weapon of any kind and they back down, it's over. Using the weapon after that is excessive and you are liable. But if you have the weapon out and they still coming at you then it's a bit clearer you had to defend yourself with extreme measures.

If you both start the fight and are both equally engaged, no.
If you both start the fight and you start losing, no. If you both start the fight and the other person is actually putting your life in danger, yes. But if you get into a fight and pull out a gun because you started losing and you shoot the guy, hell no. --- Interviewer: "You're not even a superhero you're more of a vampire slayer." Manslaughter would come up in most cases,but if you are attacked randomly in a life threatening way then that could be justified.

I would say it's only self defense if the guy is literally being beaten to death and it's clear the other guy isn't gonna stop, otherwise getting your ass kicked and then pulling out a gun is 100% murder.
