I dont feel that common tasks should be a thing. Make them into short tasks that youre more likely to get instead. That way you dont get people metagaming around them. Btw both times people said someone didnt do keys it turns out that the people they forced an eject vote on were crew that werent really good at paying attention, or were new to the map

I think common tasks are fine. There are certainly some very poor designed common tasks like the Keys on Polus. There's almost no reason to not do that task first in front of everyone at the start.

Impostors still get the same common task on their fake list of tasks.

I'm all for common tasks, but to say you didn't see someone do it is weak. Usually there's a group so you can't eye the task bar to see if one person did it. It's easy enough for an imposter to stand in with the group and dupe them. It's just another layer they can play off by pretending to be a normal crew or it's something that can easily trip them up if they don't pay attention.

The only problem I've had is asking if someone we were all sus of if I saw him in admin doing the card swipe along with uploading. If he said he had done the card swipe, we would know he's an imposter as it wasn't a task that match. Took three seconds before someone else chimed in we didn't have that task. Now if the person chiming in was an imposter, hey, great save for his buddy. Nope. Just a regular crewmate that didn't think things through.

Im okay with the common tasks, but as long as theres only one per game.

I typically play with visual tasks on, but ejection confirmations off. Keeping the confirmations off really punishes you for voting an innocent out.

If it's with a group I know, we usually take visuals off as well as confirmations. If it's with total randoms, then I like to have them on because you're already handicapping yourself by playing with them sometimes. >_<

The latter. There is a discord posted in the topic, but I keep an eye out for room codes posted here. The game doesn't have a friends list which would make things easier.

Visual tasks always off. Confirm ejects on, unless we have a full mic lobby

The main reason we are shooting for a sequel is because the codebase of Among Us 1 is so outdated and not built to support adding so much new content. However, seeing how many people are enjoying Among Us 1 really makes us want to be able to support the game and take it to the next level. We have decided to cancel Among Us 2 and instead put all our focus into improving Among Us 1.

Aren't you in the discord? You can come and join and I'm sure people will be glad to help explain some things if they see you aren't doing it. For example the other day on discord I had someone accuse me of being an imp because I did the test tube TOO fast. You can actually just literally press the button to start it and gtfo, you don't need to stay and watch the tubes fill it up. Same for picking the wrong color test tube too. Press the wrong one and gtfo (I was actually Imp that game though lol).

you just gotta accept you get caught for weird things sometimes. I faked scanning a card once when the common task for that game was connecting wires instead and someone called me on it... so I just argued they didn't properly understand the game mechanics and I really did have a card task <_<

it didn't work but I don't think I'll forget it ever again

You're right I tried to look in the built in manual and they have no description fo the more intricate ways of catching imps. It's all just figured out through playing.

This game is awesome, every time I play I just want to keep going for hours. Finally got to be the imposter and we would have won when there were 6 alive but my teammate didn't go for a double kill when we were all bunched up, then they voted me out. RIP

I ended up imposter 6 times in a row. >_<

We were doing so good one game and my partner and I just needed a double kill. We follow two people, I kill the first....and the partner just wanders off leaving the other to report the body. Then I get voted off.

Theres this really cool subset of gamers who like to ruin the enjoyment of everyone else. They did it with Fall Guys and I remember thinking, Wow what a colossal waste of everyones time, that guy is awesome. Looks like were lucky enough to get them in Among Us too.

Hacking does literally everything in Among Us.

You can make it so everyone completes all tasks instantly and win the game, you can be a crew member and kill others, you can have no cooldown kills, you can know who are the killers, you can call meetings whenever. Those are the ones I've experienced so far.

I can only see it as fun if you're just in a private room with friends and you're all fucking around. Unless they also get joy messing up the games for others, which is certainly plausible.

There's really no point to hacking in Among Us.

The game isn't mechanically challenging and there are no leaderboards.

What if you just had 10 friends who all had the hack where anyone could kill and have it be a massive battle royale lol. Only problem is if the imposters die then its done :<

But yeah, theres no reason to be a dick and ruin the game for others. Its like in Jump Ultimate Stars (basically anime Smash Bros) where people would hack to get infinite super meter. Theres no chip damage in that game, so you might think its not that bad, until you realize Dio Brando is there, and he has his fucking time stop... If they get off one time stop, they can just do a few hits and time stop again infinitely. But its so satisfying to beat those chumps who cant win with the most broken thing ever lol

Ok so I did my first match ever (mobile) and we won! Someone must have caught the guy because no one followed me the entire game. I did get accused by a guy who said I was suspect, I denied it and they voted him off instead lol. Anyways it was fun but two questions:

Is there no voice chat when playing with randos?

How do I know where to go to complete tasks, is it just speed walking until you see something?

• No voice chat in game. Not sure if its planned at all because it was supposed to be in the sequel that recently got canned (theyre just going to update 1 instead)
• You will see tasks highlighted when you are near them. Tasks in a series have arrows pointing to the next one. As do emergencies (flashing arrow)
• The task list tells you where your tasks are. You can also open up the map and will see yellow exclamation points where you have tasks.

Something satisfying when everyone goes to use the keys on the drop ship (planet map) and stacks together and you pull off a kill which results in everyone blaming the wrong people.

Every one just announce what team you are on prior to when the killing starts. Each team takes a half of the map and lights get turned off.

Its like that. Are the lobbies you're playing in have 1 or 2 imposters? You get a better chance when there's more imposters obviously. Honestly being crewmate is good for learning the map so when you become an imposter your lies are on point.

On that note, someone saw me kill on cams and I managed to pin the kill on them and won the game. Best play I've ever pulled in the game, not sure if I can ever top that.
