I think its episode 49 (or last two eps) where the show has a big twist that always made this series very memorable

I like the first series better, its a lot darker in my opinion.

The first series benefited from having to take a slower pace by using that time to really develop characters and their interactions with each other. If it had a more clear idea of where the series was going, it wouldve been perfect.

Brotherhood felt like it was moving through of checklist of events from the manga to get through at break pace speed. Never felt like I was watching a TV show.

I agree this series was really good, but the ending was very unsatisfying. Thats the one knock I have against it.
