More specifically, a custodial supervisor? I am about to graduate at the end of this year with what is pretty much a liberal arts degree, but I am also working on some IT certifications. Hopefully by the start 2021, I should have CompTIA A+ and CCNA, and a Google IT course done. The janitor job is at the university I am attending now, and the hope is through my hard work as a janitor + my schooling and certs that I would be able to move into an IT position within the university soon after being a janitor (lets say 6 -12 months)
Is this a wise career move? Or should I just look for entry level IT work? I would rather work for a prestigous university as a janitor at first rather than an entry level IT job at some startup. But I could be way off the mark so hence this post. --- This space is here only so it looks like I have a sig so my post are more noticeable. My posts look naked without a sig. ... Entry level IT work is borderline impossible to get nowadays due to oversaturation.
If you'd enjoy working as a janitor, I'd absolutely say go for it. --- ''It doesn't matter if we're devils! I can't abandon the person who's fighting this battle beside me to the very end!'' ~Sunshine, Kinnikuman ... Copied to Clipboard!

Entry level IT work is borderline impossible to get nowadays due to oversaturation. I do some janitorial work at my current retail job, and i actually like it when being the janitor is my duty for the day. Any more insight on how bad it is to find entry level IT jobs? i had the same thoughts but im not really in the field yet --- This space is here only so it looks like I have a sig so my post are more noticeable.
