(Bearing in mind that the city designation is based more government organization than population; although cities are almost exclusively high population, there are towns of 50k or 100k people. Greenwich, CT, for example, is a town rather a city despite having 62k people. Meanwhile Bristol and Meriden CT are both cities despite having very slightly smaller populations.
