Anyone else here on CE run into canceled travel plans this year like this?

We got married last year and Monday is our very first anniversary, but due to all the travel restrictions with the pandemic, we ended up just taking a few days off and aren't actually going anywhere lol. We live in NY, so I guess we could've gone camping upstate or something, but we've already done that a few times this summer, so we don't really feel like going again.
So instead, basically we're just doing a bunch of local stuff we haven't gotten to do this summer like go hiking, swimming, exploring tidal mud flats, and there's a cool farm on the east end of Long Island that we go to where you can buy fresh milk and cheese and stuff.

We were originally thinking Hawaii lol. And this was after our honeymoon in Japan got canceled early this year as well. 2020 gonna 2020 \_ ()_/

My wife and I are coming up on our first anniversary this month and we're making a weeklong trip to Vermont and Maine (we live in Maryland but met in Maine while in school).

COVID makes things a bit interesting in that we basically need to test negative 72 hours before traveling.

We had a plan to rent a cabin to get away. It worked.

We only have one place to visit planned, and it's because the restaurant has a flight of gravies that you can order

Yeah we were thinking of going up to New England too, especially since we have family up in New Hampshire and stuff, but a lot of places are iffy about out-of-towners, on a case by case basis. Like, most states up there don't have any travel restrictions from New York, but a lot of individual businesses and stuff require you to quarantine for 2 weeks or get a test done 72 hours before checking in, etc...
