Lets say a few times you were with them they kinda acted passive aggressive and would barely respond to you when you talk to them. Then one time you out and say hi but they didn't say hi back and ignored you the whole outing.

If this was a one time thing I'd probably just assume they had some personal issues they were working through and not take it personally.
If this is a recurring pattern of behavior, I'd probably just stop inviting them to things, but would still be friendly if we happened to be at the same place. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. Friends can't act passive aggressive when you call it out every time. I just comment on the source of the problem and you can't continue to be passive after that cause it's already in the open

If i didnt i would have no friends. Fairweather is better than completely alone...does get annoying always having to play therapist for em when they wont hear it for you.
