I do not think that the tv show noir is anything like the comics noir.

tv noir seems to be sensitive. He did da tea ceremony thingy, he did da piano recital thingy, he cried when he heard he was made with compound V and he put his arm in his chest like awwwwww when the whale died Meanwhile comics noir was an evil psycho who did all the nasty shit blamed on homelander, sick perverted shit.

im sure there will be some satisfying resolution at the end of the season, but why compress a story to 10-12 episodes when they know they have 16 across two seasons?

In the comics he's a clone of Homelander created by Vought as a failsafe to kill Homelander if Homelander goes rogue. This being his sole purpose and never being able to fulfill it makes him go crazy and he's actually the one that rapes Becca and frames Homelander for it. He does end up eventually killing Homelander and then Butcher (with some help) ends up killing him shortly after.

Obviously some of that wouldn't work in the show but some still could.

You know when the aunt revealed who Lenny was and how she got cut off, I actually really thought Black Noir was going to be revealed as Lenny (Butcher's younger bro). But yeah I would actually be down for him to being a good guy (even though there's really not a whole lot showing that he is).

That's actually funny. Going on the boys subreddit, a lot of the people who followed and bought the comic from day 1 said they were disapointed with the plot twist (I think it mostly had to do with the fact that there was so many hints in the comics on who Black Noir could be and most of them get thrown out of the window with this reveal).

This is based on the fact that she disappeared in 1978 from the public world, but nobody knows why exactly. It could be that she was pregnant with Homelander. The timing since she came back lines up with Homelander's age, which is early 40s. Would be a hilarious twist for the TV series. Homelander has Mommy issues and almost an oedpius like complex, as seen with his relationship with Madeline Stillwell..

Reasons:
He was desperately trying to get Hughie to call off the fight against The 7
The look he gave Kimiko in the hidden bunker
The look he gave Starlight when Homelander revealed that they were dating
The fact that he threw knives at Mothers Milk, and only grabbed the gun out of Hughie's hands, and didn't hurt him at all.

If I'm right, it'll be cool, and I'd be stoked that I called it, but if not, meh, it was a nice red herring.

Anyways

1) I still can't believe they got a Jewish actress to play a Nazi. Like she obviously got through it well but I can't imagine that final scene was comfortable for her to film at all.

2) Knowing what happens to Vought (like the actual guy, as told by Stan in the first episode) makes Stormfront being his wife definitely more interesting. When he defected to the US did she come as well (I think this makes her being Liberty make more sense) or did he end up creating people like Soldier Boy because he knew she was still on the other side?

3) If Vought (the man) had a working Compound V serum that gave an adult Stormfront her powers all the way back then (and assumingly did the same for Soldier Boy) then why is Vought (the company) still struggling to get a "stable" one 70 years later?

4) I have a feeling Stan and Stormfront are running that testing site for different reasons unless Stan is Vought >_>.

Yes and they even say it works on some adults just fine.

To me it just seems like there's a disconnect between what Stan told Homelander in the beginning of the season (particularly the phrasing), the fact that Vought was willing to inject the serum into his wife, and what we're being told the purpose of that institution is.

I'm almost 100% positive that Black Noir is going to be nothing like his comic counterpart.

For starters, there's scenes where he's alone where he's shown to be a fairly sensitive guy. Plus there was the time when he fought that terrorist and it didn't look like he's as invulnerable as Homelander.
