Thinking of replacing my fucking awful Microsoft Comfort 5000 with some proper gear. Don't want to spend shitloads as I normally use a Razer Wildcat for gaming, but it'd be nice to have something that's actually comfortable to use. Any thoughts?

I absolutely love mine for gaming. It's got that mechanical keyboard sound, which can be bothersome if that annoys you (I've always liked the sound of an old school type writer), but otherwise, I like the feedback my keys give my fingers in support to my finger joints over long periods of play. Playing with a regular keyboard can put straight on the joints of my fingers after playing 6-10 hours, so yeah, the steelseries was a god send. Plus the foam mount that comes with the keyboard fits it perfectly (unlike some 3rd party keyboard foams), so there's that, too.
It's super heavy, as that might throw you off when you pick it up for the first time, but I mean, if you're not taking it anywhere, that won't be an issue. otherwise, there's no sliding around on your desk or anything, it just grips the motherfucker for dear life. I like it. Also, I have a Razer Naga and both plug into my MSI laptop, so they all do that color glow thing, but they are synched so I don't have like 1 red accessory, 1 blue accessory, and 1 green accessory haha --- Y helo thar buttsecks ...
