There's a few people who create content for games I play and I'll watch their Youtube videos, but I just can't get into Twitch and livestreaming. It just seems so boring to me. Like even when it's watching videos of Twitch clips it's just so... unentertaining to me.

Am I old and out of touch, or are the children indeed wrong?

There's definitely a different vibe between streams and Youtube. I used to watch Sips pretty religiously, but the longform streams just aren't my jam as much.

I pretty much only watch people who are really good at the game that I play so I learn tips and strategies. This mostly applies to fighting games and tournaments.

Social streams and donating and subbing.... yeah that's all lost to me I dont see the appeal.

Twitch is good for having background noise.

I mean some games are better to watch than others. I've been watching a lot of auto battler streams because i feel like it's one of the only games that could make you improve just by watching high level players and listening to their commentary.

I never got into any streaming either, I don't find enjoyment watching other people play through games. I'd rather play them myself.
