Question - If you were running a team would you pay elite money for an elite goalie at this point? Or just run two at like 2-2.5 each and hope one breaks out?

I'd say it depends on the strength of the defense and the average amount of shots against they allow per game. Detroit had the worst defense, and look at Jimmy Howard's numbers last season.

Beyond Hellebuyck, most of the best goalies based on save % were tandem. Look at Arizona with Kuemper and Raanta.

trade that doesn't address their weakness on offence.
they allocated $5 million of cap space on a position that can't play every game so total of $15 million just on goaltending. i get shortening the workload of price but better and cheaper methods to that than moving draft assets.

worst of all, they agreed to that trade without asking the blues to retain salary.

khubodin and hutchinson.
one of these guy is going to be in the next round.

That's some serious trade deadline bait though and they're obviously not re-signing Domi at this point. They have like $14M in cap space even factoring in Allen with no major UFAs to re-sign.

All their problems start in 21-22 and Allen's already off the books by then.

That was a given but this call-up is because Michael DiPietro has been labelled "unfit to play" so they need a 3rd goalie behind Domingue.

No idea what happened with DiPietro.

That said, I want it for Vancouver fans. They have been through a lot, especially the entire Sedin era without a cup. I can't get behind a 3rd year expansion team.

You know what I'm pretty sure Rogers forced Game 7 to be tomorrow because both the Raptors and Jays are playing Saturday on SportsNet.

Also it won't be at 12, it'll be at 8:45 or 9:30 Central like their games usually are.

They have Dallas @ Colorado at noon as well, that'd be fun

That must just be their default, idk why they can't do TBD like the NHL app has

I've always used TSN as my go-to idk why, i'm American also. They have a good trade tracker and FA signing tracker when the season is on normal terms.
