I stopped wanting to live in Japan after I visited. it's a hard culture to get accepted in. It's a fun place but I no longer want to stay there. I haven't been back though. and probably never will now. I would have liked to see Hokkaido. maybe someday but probably not

Hard to be accepted in most certainly, but if I had a choice of living my entire life in Japan or Hawaii, I definitely would choose Japan. Although ironically I would probably vacation in Hawaii lol

I still think many Weigel's still have a bigger selection, but there's just something about going to 7-11 and seeing something interesting or unusual. Similarly, having to go to Walmart, as opposed to Don Quijote. Same kind of store, just...unique if you're from a different region.

Japan's cool for a visit (even if I've never been, and likely won't be able to any time soon due to CURRENT WORLD EVENTS), but I doubt I would ever want to live there. Being both a gaijin and Black puts two marks against me.

At most, I would fall in love with a Japanese woman, marry her, and bring her back to the States (or Canada).

Most japanese seem to love "gaijins"....especially my black friends. some older folks (like 60+) seem kinda "cautious" around Americans. But that seems kind of uncommon

No it isnt. Japanese are very accepting. They understand if youre from a different culture and will usually help you or just laugh it off with you. Just dont blatantly disrespect their culture and youre good

The e+ streaming service needs a Japanese phone number to verify account creation, and then buying the tickets can only be done with a Japanese CC, bank, or convenience store.

About that one posters height comment....

It's true. Their clothes tends to run smaller than in the west. When i was there I went with a small group from a college and one of the guys is bigger. Not like as in fat but like a larger body size. And our luggage got misplaced on arrival so our host families took us shopping on the first day for some clothes. He ended up having to go the Japanese version of Big and Tall and was pissed off. He isn't even THAT much bigger. In America he could find clothes in normal stores but not in Japan

The only thing you're missing is the knees.

Everything else, you'd be a shoo in.

Taller = Better.

30 is still not horrible (age wise) to get a late start.

Batista started his wrestling career at a older age, and he's legendary now.
