Some... stuff has come up, so I have to spend some small amount of money on the Steam store.

So I'm asking for some recommendations on something to buy.

The catch, though, is that I'm looking for something that costs 2~3 USD. No more, no less.

This looks like it's worth half a dollar? That won't cut it. (I guess I could just wait until the sale is over so it jumps back to 2 bucks but ehh...)

Nah, the point isn't getting something new. It's that I have to spend this tiny amount of money on Steam. Over 2 bucks to be exact. So F2P doesn't cut it. It's just that if I'm going to spend money I might as well get something decent. Like, Cthulhu Saves The World was 3 bucks and that was much better than just 'decent'.

Looks like a digital card game. So, what, the point of the initial game being free but that I have to pay more money to buy more cards to assemble actually viable decks?

...Eh, no thanks. I'm already preoccupied with MTGA, I don't think my mind could handle another digital card game in my life at the moment.

Solid game. The simple animesque art assets for most parts of the game are meh, and the story is bland, but the actual gameplay is great, and unlike anything else I've played, and it's the one place where the art is actually good.

Ryse is literally one massive quicktime event tech demo. It's the most corporate thing since Ubisoft started charging real money for ingame asscreed resources.

Yeah I only spent like 4 or 5 bucks on Ryse and still felt ripped off. Terrible, very short game.

Tomb Raider 2013, which was a full on Triple A game apparently, is on sale right now for $3. I've never even played that, but it seems like probably the best deal you're likely to find.
