The multiplayer is also great.

Wanted to try campaign, but I haven't played Titan Fall 1.

Good campaign and multiplayer. I love how your team jumps out of a dropship in the beginning of a match

I don't think there was a Titanfall 1 campaign. Or if it was, it was like glorified tutorial missions for multiplayer.

I think the level design and mobility in Titanfall 1 is much better, but gameplay variety and the lack of single player does hurt it compared to the sequel. The weird card system the first game has is also highly divisive, although I thought it was a refreshing change of pace from the normal FPS Fair.

there wasn't a campaign, but the story was told through NPC dialogue at the beginning and end of multiplayer mission maps. So if you played every map you would have just enough information to know who the factions were and why they were fighting.

it's crazy how much easier this game is controller, although that's probably due to me

The next mission, Effect and Cause, is the main highlight of the whole campaign.

I think the mission after that (The Beacon) drags a bit too long, but the rest of the game maintains its high note.

I do need to play this campaign because maybe it will explain why theyre inserting Ash into Apex Legends. They were the focus of the treasure pack quest last season where you go into Revenants alternate dimension to get parts that turn out to form her head, and then stick it on her simulacron body at the end. Now in this season, shes apparently Pathfinders girlfriend or something? lol.

Ash is one of a group of mercenaries, and an antagonist. Their leader is called Blisk and the name of the group is Apex

Well Blisk shows up in Apex too. Most recently in a trailer for the new legend, where he hands her a card for the games after her mod shop is destroyed. But he also created the Apex Games.

Ash is canonically killed during the campaign of TItanfall 2, but since she's, y'know, a simulacrum, she's easily rebuilt, which is why she's still alive and kicking as a faction leader in the multiplayer.

I don't know how that ties into recent Apex events though. I know Vinson Dynamics came up with Revenants release, but I havent looked into anything past S4.

Currently in the Apex storyline Loba and Revenant are trying to look for Revenants source code so he can die. Though of course I dont think it will actually pan out that way.
