If I can find a spot where I can pull forward to an adjacent spot so I don't have to back out, I do that.
If not, always pull in. --- You load sixteen tons, what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt ... Copied to Clipboard!

i find it easier to back out of a space, than to back into one.
i usually end up taking a spot where i can just drive forward after though (except at work... though i'm transferring to a new building thats supposed to be much bigger, so maybe the parking lot will allow me to do the same) --- Kill From The Shadows. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot ... Depends mostly how spacious the lot is and/or if the spot next to my desired one if open. My car's quite a bit longer than most, so squishier lots can involve some fiddly maneuvering to drive into/back out of a spot, while backing in is pretty much the same procedure regardless of conditions. In other cases, I'll just pull in because it always feels faster and like less work, even though backing out is generally slow enough to negate that and that's really a rather silly thing to feel.
Of course, if I can pull through to the next spot so I never have to back up at all, I'll do that unless I need to ensure access to my trunk. Best of both worlds. ... Copied to Clipboard!
