Had they had some actual wrestling or Jijitsu training they could have very EASILY taken down Blake when his back was turned and restrained him. But, they are such pathetic physical specimens they literally had no means of which to defend themselves when scared other than by pulling the trigger. Stop hiring simpy people to be cops. Stop hiring women to be BEAT cops. START physically discriminating in the hiring process of police officers. Sorry kid, you are too fat... Sorry kid, you are too short... Sorry kid, you are too weak... Sorry kid, you are disabled... Sorry kid, you are a woman... ...and therefore incapable of safely being able to physically resolve dangerous, even life threatening, conflict unless you pull your weapon, and frankly that should be a last resort and not a first resort... ...but hey, here are a bunch of other jobs you can do for the department besides becoming a standard "beat cop." Well the not allowing women part is discrimination no matter how you slice it, but they'd have to pass requirements as well. The issue is that the cops should NOT be scared for their lives. If they weren't such cowards, then they wouldn't be so afraid. There are indeed racist cops, and they are bad police officers. A cowardly cop is incapable of doing his job, because he's incapable of putting his life on the line to serve and protect the community he's sworn to protect. If there is no need to physically arrest anybody, then there is no reason for them to come. I think most cops are used as debt collectors for the state. Blindly upholding the laws and issuing tickets (that naturally pray on the poor...aka minorities) for the purpose of meeting quotas. They forget their purpose, and when confronted with real danger or an actual need to protect the community they shell up like a deer in the headlights. They are so use to being conditioned to harass the community and to view it as the enemy, that they have no clue how to behave when it comes time to be an actual hero and protect it. So I would like to see officers behave like a Batman, and ignore street cleaning and jay walking violations and just respond to calls where they'll be a high chance that they'll have to physically put hands on someone. How to pull the trigger? Last year a cafe I go to in San Francisco called the police on a crazy homeless guy who kept coming in and taking a shit/pee on the floor. I've helped the cafe get rid of this dude multiple times, without ever having to feel as if I was in danger. I just grab him and toss him out. It's easy. A female police officer showed up. She was by herself (big no no) was about 5'3, and fat. The crazy guy tore a small branch off a tree and began swinginh it towards her. She shot him. He lived, but like, it was two to the chest. She also missed a few times and shot through the cafe's window. The officer was fearing for her life. Because of course she was. What else could she have done? Absolutely nothing. She had no other option but to shoot him. Meanwhile had it been a male officer he would have taken the branch away and told him to get lost. Their wouldn't even have been a report made. Easy stuff. Being a "beat cop" is the one job where discrimination in the hiring process must ocure. Women are scientifically physically weaker than men. It's the only thing men have an unfair natural advantage over. This isn't up for debate, it is just fact. So if women can't physically do the job, why are they allowed to become beat cops? The current answer to that question is "because guns" Guns are the great equalizer. The argument for equality amongst the police force is that "guns are the great equalizer" so why risk your life for others, and put yourself in physical danger when you can simply shoot them and call it a day? If we as a society want this policing philosophy abolished, then we must be conscious of what would actually happen if we did indeed required the police to shoot as a last resort... ..the physically weaker police officers would mostly be assaulted, seriously injured, and in many cases killed. Why put them in that position in the first place?
